Company Overview:

Johnson Hardware Company was founded in 1855 and is the oldest company in Nebraska.  The company is based in Omaha, with branch locations in Lincoln and North Platte.

Johnson distributes builders tools and hardware including locks, exit devices, door latches and keysets, building access control systems  hinges and door control products, along with a broad selection of building and hardware accessories.  They manufacture steel fire and safety door systems, and provide their customers with prehung wood door units for fire door applications.

Johnson has four operating divisions:

  •  Johnson Industrial works with large and small construction companies located in Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and South Dakota.  Most customers are involved in the commercial construction trade, but a number of the customers are residential builders.  These companies can access the entire product offering, including the manufactured door systems.
     
  •  Omaha Wholesale Hardware sells nationwide to contractors and builders.  Using traditional and wholesale  sales techniques, OWH distributes the full product offering of builders hardware.
     
  •  Johnson Contract Division works with architects to determine product specifications for doors, building hardware and related products during the project design phase.  Available to all customers, this "take-off" service typically leads to the purchase of the specified products during construction.
     
  •  Electronic Access Control designs, and installs high security, customer friendly access and lock control systems.
